Music Aurora – Open Streets “Porch Fest” June 4th, 2017 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM

In conjunction with Open Streets Aurora, Music Aurora is thrilled to present “Porch Fest” which will showcase the musical talents of local artists in a unique format never before seen in Aurora – the front porch of houses along Mosley Street will be used as a stage for pop-up performances. Of special interest will be a spotlight on youth musicians playing both original and cover band material. What better way to enjoy an afternoon than to be outdoors in the beautiful heritage district of Aurora strolling along Mosley Street to the sound of live music!

Activate Aurora – Open Streets Aurora June 4, 2017, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Open Streets is a neighbourhood experience designed to encourage people of all ages to visit an interesting location by providing activities centered around arts, sports and music that are non-commercial and engaging.

Open Streets Aurora will encourage active transportation through walking or wheeling in the Cultural Precinct on June 4th, 2017 as thousands of people are attracted to the Town during the Chamber of Commerce Street Festival.

Open Streets Aurora 2017 includes Sport Aurora, Music Aurora and Bike Aurora in co-operation with Healthy Kids Community Challenge, Parks and Recreation, the Seniors Association and York Regional Police who will provide interactive displays and opportunities for fun in the area to/from and around Town Park. The YNBA will be hosting the first ever 3 on 3 Basketball tournament that will become and annual outdoor sport tourism event.

All residents and visitors to Aurora on June 4th are encouraged to tour these open streets and enjoy their day in Aurora.
